AI
Product Manager
Location:
Hybrid – Arlington, Virginia
Employment
Type: Full-time
BizFirst
is assisting our client with the hiring of an AI Product Manager to lead the
product strategy and delivery of AI-powered internal tools and capabilities.
This role sits at the center of the organization’s transformation effort –
translating business needs into clear AI product roadmaps, driving
cross-functional delivery, and ensuring that the AI systems being built
actually get used, adopted, and measured for impact.
Our
client is a mid-market professional services organization that is actively
rethinking how it designs and executes its core business operations through
artificial intelligence and automation. The company is building a dedicated AI
capability to embed machine learning and generative AI into its most critical
internal workflows – from decision support and process automation to real-time
analytics and intelligent document processing.
What
will you do
The
ideal candidate has 5–8 years of product management experience, with at least
2–3 years working directly on AI or ML-powered products. You understand how AI
systems are built well enough to have substantive technical conversations with
engineers and data scientists, and you have strong instincts for how to scope,
prioritize, and communicate in environments where the product is still being
defined. Experience leading AI product efforts in an internal tooling or
enterprise context is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:
•Own
the product roadmap for the organization’s AI initiatives, working with
business stakeholders and technical teams to define priorities, scope, and
success metrics.
•Translate
operational pain points and business requirements into clear, actionable
product specifications for ML engineers, data scientists, and designers.
•Lead
discovery and requirements gathering for AI use cases, including user research,
workflow analysis, and feasibility assessment with the technical team.
•Drive
delivery across cross-functional AI product squads, keeping projects on track,
surfacing blockers, and managing stakeholder expectations.
•Define
and track KPIs for deployed AI capabilities, using outcome data to guide
iteration and prioritization decisions.
•Build
and maintain a structured feedback loop between end users and the AI
development team to ensure products solve real problems effectively.
•Develop
business cases for new AI investments, including cost-benefit analysis,
adoption forecasts, and risk assessments.
•Serve
as an internal advocate for responsible AI practices, ensuring products are
designed with appropriate oversight and auditability.
Requirements:
US
Citizen or Permanent Resident authorized to work in the United States.
Experience:
5–8 years in product management with a minimum of 2–3 years leading AI or
ML-related product work.
Technical
Fluency: Sufficient technical understanding to partner effectively with ML
engineers and data scientists; ability to review model outputs, evaluate
tradeoffs, and contribute meaningfully to scope decisions.

through launch and adoption in an enterprise context.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate
complex AI concepts for executive and non-technical audiences.
Stakeholder
Management: Experience aligning diverse stakeholders around a product strategy,
navigating competing priorities, and driving decisions with incomplete
information.
Preferred:
Hands-on
experience with generative AI products, LLM-powered tools, or intelligent
process automation.
Background
in professional services, consulting, or enterprise software.
Familiarity
with AI ethics frameworks, model governance practices, or responsible AI
principles.
