As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, BETM provides asset management and optimization services to owners of generation and energy storage in North America, while delivering wholesale energy to utilities and municipalities. Our traders cover competitive power markets across New England, the Midwest, and Western regions, using a fundamentals-based approach that develops electric-transmission, gas network, and supply/demand models to inform market views and trading opportunities.

Since our roots in Citizens Power dating back to 1989, when the organization obtained the first FERC power marketing license and market-based-rate authorization, BETM has been at the forefront of energy market evolution. Today, as part of Mitsubishi's Diamond Generating family, we combine deep market expertise with investment-grade credit support to deliver superior performance. Our highly experienced team and the relationships they've built with clients, partners, and investors remain our most important assets as we continue shaping today's energy environment and supporting Mitsubishi's roadmap to a carbon-neutral society.
